I've seen variations of this nail look ALL over the internet recently, and I decided it was finally time for me to give it a try. I really love how simple it is, and I love the extra sparkle. Hubby found it totally silly, and practically laughed me out of the house when I showed him... but what does he know about nails, am I right? ;) What do you guys think of the look? Do you agree with his judgement that they are "silly", or are you a fan like I am?
Here's how I did it:
I painted my whole nail with Revlon polish in "Minted", let dry, and followed with another coat for opacity. I then mixed a a small dollop of modpodge with Martha Stewart turquoise glitter in a water bottle cap, and applied two coats to my nail. It may look a bit messy at first, but no worries! The modge podge dries totally clear, that's the beauty of it :) I then followed with a coat of glossy top coat on all nails and let dry. And that's it! Easy peasy.
What do you guys think of this nail look? Have you ever tried it before? I'd love to see your interpretations!
oooo fun! I love the extra sparkle!

Hmmm, I don't know. On one hand I do love the shade of blue on the non-glittered nails, but I super love the glitter one, too. I think I'd have to do all glitter. One is so beautimous and sparkly that I'd demand an entire hand of it. :P
ReplyDeleteI am loving the glitter nails mine our black right now with silver glitter love it :)
ReplyDeleteI am always a fan of sparkle--I do it in a shellac nail (at home) and it lasts about 2 weeks.
ReplyDeleteThat mint nail polish is adorable! I love your blog, its very cutesy!
