"Money Tree" from Honestly WTF- an excerpt from the site:
"In several wooded areas around Cumbria and Portmeirion in the UK, people have been hammering small denomination coins intro trees for centuries. The practice is said to date back as far as the early 1700s, in Scotland, where ill people would stick florins into trees in hopes that the trees would cure their illnesses. In 1877, Queen Victoria wrote about visiting an oak tree with coins stuck in it in Scotland’s Highlands."

I so enjoyed the kitten and the ipad videos. The elephants warmed my cold heart and you're right the wooden spoon over the pot--magical. I could have used that idea many years before now.
ReplyDeleteThose are so adorable!! That Halloween video is so amazing!
ReplyDeleteThat coin tree story is amazing! I'm about to go read up on it more. I collect pennies and other coins so I'd love to see some of the old ones hammered into the trees. Blew my mind.
