Today is a big, bad, scary day for me. Maybe it sounds trivial, and it probably is, but to me- today is making my palms sweat and there is a knot in my throat I can't seem to swallow. Today, I am turning in job applications.
See, between being a student and a housewife since 2008, I haven't held a regular "job" since before I became an adult. Getting back into the work field when one has no experience to really speak of is a bit nerve wracking, to say the least, especially in the current economy. I went to the mall to fill out some applications, and today, it's time to turn them in and see what's in store for me! Keep your fingers crossed, please :)
So today's outfit is in preparation for this big day- I wanted to look professional, mature and pulled together, but I also wanted to feel like myself and throw in a bit of spice. I did this by keeping my color palette black, white and grey and then I playfully mixed some subtle patterns into my outfit. I have some stripes on my top, a houndstooth bag and (look closely) some fun fishnet print nails! I feel comfortable and just like myself, and hopefully that comes through today.
